Kathleen Dwyer

Vice President of Compliance

Kathleen Dwyer serves as the Vice President of Compliance for Legacy Healthcare Services.  Kathleen was formerly trained at Eastern Michigan University’s Occupational Therapy Program.  In the early part of her career, she became a Certified Hand Therapist and has held various leadership positions including Rehab Director, Regional Director of Operations and Executive Vice President.

Her passion for quality care, compliant documentation and billing has always been present in her leadership style and this led her to pursue further training in compliance. In 2019, she passed the certification in healthcare compliance which led her to a position as a Compliance Officer for a company providing therapy services in over 30 states.

Kathleen joined Legacy in 2023 and has since continued her pursuit of further education and is now certified in healthcare privacy compliance. Additionally, Kathleen serves on several committees including the Ethics Commission’s Appeal Panel of the American Occupational Therapy Association, the Partnership for Quality Measurement’s Endorsement and Maintenance committee and is a board member for a local Occupational Therapy Program.

Outside of work, she enjoys yoga and being active, including running, biking and fishing.  Her favorite activity is walking on the beach with her husband and dog.
